Yesterday, Ella van Durpe merged a long-awaited feature into the Gutenberg plugin that allows users to select and modify text across multiple Rich Text blocks. It should land in version 13.0 of the plugin and WordPress 6.0 in May.

Users can currently select text across multiple blocks, but the editor automatically adjusts that selection to all of the blocks themselves, essentially creating a group. The change will allow users to highlight the specific text. This ability should work with any Rich Text block, such as Paragraph, Heading, List, and Quote.

The latest version of the AIOSEO (All in One SEO) WordPress plugin (4.1.9) adds integration with Microsoft Clarity. Clarity is Microsoft’s free analytics tool that provides insights into on-site user behavior.

Clarity’s dashboard shows a visual overview of user behavior. Then you can dive deeper into heatmaps (to see where users interact most often and how far they scroll) and session recordings (to see mouse movements, clicks, taps and scrolls for all users, across pages and devices).

Hackers are compromising WordPress sites to insert a malicious script that uses visitors’ browsers to perform distributed denial-of-service attacks on Ukrainian websites.

Today, MalwareHunterTeam discovered a WordPress site compromised to use this script, targeting ten websites with Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

These websites include Ukrainian government agencies, think tanks, recruitment sites for the International Legion of Defense of Ukraine, financial sites, and other pro-Ukrainian sites.
