As you may know, we made some changes to OnMSFT.com and Azure this month, and as is normal, we hit a few snags along the way. After some fine tuning, though, we think we’re getting close to getting it dialed in, juggling Azure, WordPress, WP-Rocket, and Cloudflare to get the most bang for our buck. Fake jQuery files infect WordPress sites with malware

Security researchers have spotted counterfeit versions of the jQuery Migrate plugin injected on dozens of websites which contains obfuscated code to load malware.

These files are named jquery-migrate.js and jquery-migrate.min.js and present at the exact locations where JavaScript files are normally present on WordPress sites but are in fact malicious.

As of today, over 7.2 million websites use the jQuery Migrate plugin, which explains why attackers would disguise their malware under this popular plugin’s name.

Microsoft Bing Wants To Build Instant Indexing Into WordPress Core

As I covered at Search Engine Land the other day, Fabrice Canel From Microsoft issued a feature request to WordPress to bake into the product instant indexing. Well, really, instant pushing of URLs to the search engines so the search engines don’t have to crawl sites to find new or updated content.

Fabrice wrote on Twitter “I proposed to make it easier for WordPress site owners to get their web content instantly indexed in all Search Engines leveraging an open standard benefitting all Search Engines, help us to make it great.”

Yesterday, 10up officially announced Convert to Blocks, a WordPress plugin for transforming classic posts into blocks. The goal is to provide users with a safe migration route for old content while removing the burdens of other options in the space.
